Yup. I didn't know what they were for either and last night I asked my bro and his friends what they were for, and they told me the same thing - to protect them from getting burns from the turf.

it has nothing to do with a fad like some of these idiots are saying.


The ones I'm talking about are skinny like a rubber band, and wouldn't protect against getting turf burns
