I have found some files on my computer and am wondering what they are, if they are necessary or, if they were dumped on me by some site visited, or a program I may have previously had on my computer.
I happened upon them while opening Internet Explorer in order to delete cookies and temporary internet files. (As a side note, I use MSN8 for my internet connection)
To best tell where I found them, here is what I did:
Opened Internet Explorer and the selected the "tools" pull-down menu.
Selected "Internet Options" and on the "general tab." At the "Temporary Internet Files" section, I deleted my cookies and then cleared the history folder in the "History" section.
I decided to check out the "Settings Options" button in the "Temporary Internet Files" section and the "Settings" box popped up. Out of curiousity, I clicked on the "View Objects" button and found these files in my, "Downloaded Program Files" folder.
There are seven files listed and although a few of them appear to be legit to me via the "Properties" information they give, the three listed below - the first one in particular - don't.
Although I'm not sure what exact information someone may need in order to evaluate them, here is what is given in the "Downloaded Program Files Folder." If any "properties" information would be helpful for anyone I would be happy to provide it also.They are listed as follows:
