No, not all of LA.

For me it'd be South Central, Compton, Watts and parts of Downtown. Every place else I've been, I've felt comfortable.

Around USC isn't the greatest area. What exactly are you looking for? A place to live for cheap?

It's perfectly safe on the campus...once you get outside those boundaries though, you're on your own

Agreed. Most of my relatives used to live around that area. When they could finally afford it they all high-tailed it to the San Gabriel Valley. But the area is getting better IMO. I'm down there occasionally to visit friends and they are making efforts to clean things up.
