Hey man, Boston is more than a "semi" big city.

Verizon had FIOS there already, I thought.

I have a friend in Wilmington with FIOS, I would have thought it'd be in Boston for sure

I work for verizon fiber and I dont even know. They have it estimated up to 3 years out but decide monthly and is determined down to which streets. Currently I dont see a deployment sheet for your area. Just be happy your one of the 13 states that FIOS is currently being deployed in. It is basically determined by a couple things.

Licensing (home associations/complexes have been known to be protective of which utilities they do business with)
Market (Fiber can travel 70% further than copper based transmission so a lot of satellite owners are happy. Then again its not really done by location its in order of connection)
CO and field equipment (Most fiber is already there)
Available Field techs (they usually pull techs from other areas)
