You know what I'm talking about?

The things you can use that, in case you move to europe it switches the previous watts to the appropriate amount so it doesn't fry it?

I want to buy one, but I don't know the english name.

I think you want an AC travel adapter.

I have a small one that I use when I go to Asia.... too small to run my laptop when the battery is dead, but works fine for charging. Most RadioShack stores have a few small ones available, with the proper outlet adapters.

Hi, You mean "VOLTS". Most power supplies have a 110/220 switch on the back. If your's does not you would only have to replace the PSU with one that does. Luck, Jim

robots in disguise?

but seriously, as mentioned its the volts you are questioning about, not watts. Be warned to use the right adaptor and double check the voltage requirement of your gear and that supplied by the adaptor. i wrecked an awsome diskman this way.

Impractical to get a step-up transformer to boost US voltage to 200 - cheaper to buy a new PSU with a voltage selector switch... If you brought a PC here from europe, it should have an active PFC PSU which should be able to auto-detect the mains voltage and compensate for it. If yours has passive PFC, then it may not be able to compensate.
