200K?
300K?

I am talking original engine here.
No rebuilds or replacements.

My best is 165K on a 85 Lincoln Town Car

Scan those things! I'd love to see that...so it was driven hard for like 3-4 decades hehe

I'm at 120 on an '89 accord but I only bought it at about 112...I hope it does well...

I beat cars way too much to get that kind of milage.
I did have an 88 Bonneville w/ 147K, traded it. It had all the options, unfortunately, none of them functioned by the time I was done (really, you couldn't even bright the lights or roll the windows down). Fortunately, the dealership went on appearances!!! $1000 for that POS!!

388,000 miles on a 79 Mercedes 300SD, then sold it to a canuk who told me a year ago it had gone over 500,000 and still running strong on original engine. :D

My dad has a 1990 Chevy Extended Cab Short Box pick-up. And he has about 125k and hasn't replaced a single thing. And it's still going strong. Doesn't burn much oil at all. And has the same power as when he got it. But of course our 1999 Chrysler Concorde LXi does get a little bit better gas mileage:p

Hmm, those Nissan's seem to have pretty high miles. Foreign made cars are cool-looking and seem to be high quality. But I don't drive yet...

Our family had a '63 1/2 VW bug that yielded over 350K before it was "retired". Every kid learned to drive with that thing, and it was the car we always got to use.

98K in 3 years on a 91 Geo Metro. I loved that car. I sold it when I got it paid off and saw it about 6 months later. It was a "rent a wreck" so I imagine the miles were still piling on. :(

Well my dad is a saleman and covers around 4 states so he puts anywhere around 40k-90k a year on cars so we have had a lot of highmilage cars.

82 plymouth rampage (thats a torizmo/duster with a truck bed) 2.2l I think and a 5 speed. It had somewhere around 300k+ on it. The speedo cable broke 2 years before we sold it.

77 mercedes 280E 300K+. Again the speedo never worked right the 10 years we had the car. This one was my moms. The body was falling off of it when we gave it to my uncle 3 years ago. It is stilling running great but is not driving. My uncle wrecked it about 6months after we gave it to him. I learned to drive in this one.

82 mustang GT 250k. Still ran good but had low oil pressure and would keep blowing the rear main seal.

81 toyata celica gt 200k+. Didn't have it to long. The body and interior wear crap but it ran good.

91 ford Taurus 180k trans is weak( most went out a lot sooner than this one so can't bitch to much). Engine ran great though untill the thermastat stuck and dad decieded to play "I can make it home before it hurts anything" and lost.

and the current car

96 ford t-bird 4.6l auto 200k and still going strong. Only thing thats happend to it sofar was some seal in the intake manifold blew but that was covered by a recall. This one needs to make 350k or so.
We have a year or so left on the payments and mom needs another car the taurus is dying.

and for me personaly I think it would be
81 dodge mirada slant 6 auto it either had 90k or 190k. The way it looked I'am guessing 190k :). Ran great those slant 6s can't be stopped.

My beater 81 plymouth horizan has about 188k on it so it shall soon take its place. It has a 1.6l i think VW engine in it. It runs but I wouldn't say great.

there were a bunch of others but I was to young to remember the milage though one does stand out.
66 mustang GT fastback with the K code 289 4speed and locking rearend. He drove that one for a couple years when he only covered our homestate. I don't have a clue how many miles it had on it. I just wanted to mention it cause it was so damn cool. Btw this one was suppost to be mine but those bastards sold it to pay taxes. I say screw the taxes Id rather have the car :).

BTW all of those are origanal engines and trans except for the taurus. Had to rebuild the engine at around 165k after the little thermostat problem.

Right Now , 89 Toyotee V-6 4x4 EXCAB 154,500. Been in the Sierras for years, and now the brutal So/Cal desert. The Powertrain is good but,it's the other stuff that'll nickel &dime you to death.

Damn, I want to see some newer Eldos or MarkVIII's with high miles.

Those are cool pimpers... I want one

Volkswagon Diesel Rabbit '79 sold it with 246,000 miles on it. Ran great, no powertrain work, but lots of nickel and dime stuff. Only problem was living in the 'rust belt' Michigan, floor was about gone and body panels weren't much better......
