I have a weird question...
I want to know what the bulk/majority of 8800GT owners are upgrading to these days. The reason I ask this is because back in Oct '07 when the 8800GT first came out for ~$300, many people jumped on the 8800GT since it was had a great value to performance ratio... so what are those people now upgrading to? Is it the new GTX 275 or 4890? Are people still waiting another month to see what else comes out or if prices drop?
Can any of the forum regulars give your gut feelings about this from what you've observed over the last couple of months? Anyone that upgraded from an 8800GT is welcome to say what they upgraded to and the reason as well.
I have an 8800GT and am looking to upgrade, but for some reason the 275 and 4890 aren't appealing to me, they're actually kind of underwhelming, and I don't know why. I do know that I don't want either one like I did the 8800GT did back in '07.
