What are the differences between 9800 Pro vs 9800 NP?

I haven't found any comparisons between a 9800 Pro and a 9800 NP. Can someone tell me how these two stack up? What are the actual differences between the two? I know that the NP has slower memory and lower clock speed-anything else?

How about bang for the buck? Any comparisons there between ATI cards and nVidia? I paid $259 for a 9800 NP from newegg.com.

i think hardocp did a review with a 9800 Pro clocked down to a 9800 NON pro

the only difference is the clock speed

Thanks, actually I just did a search and found a thread with a link to that review. Pretty interesting. For half the scratch of an FX 5900 Ultra you can get close to the same performance from the 9800 NP. I think I made the right choice.

The performance is close to the 9700 pro, but the 9800 has a lot more overhead for overclocking, a decent overclock on the core should be easily achievable. The memory probably won't overclock so well, but you'll easily get close to pro performance, the 9800 np is a great card for the money.
