What are the chances that Dick Cheney will run for president?

Is that a woman?? WTF? And no Dick Cheney wont run for President, he has health issues and doesn't have any charisma or popular appeal.

But if it means that hag will die, he should run for President for one day.

If he runs, Dems odds of winning in 2k8 will be much larger than they are now.

I think the Republicans need a new face, look at Gore...Even with Clinton riding high in approval (which Bush is not) he lost.

Dick Cheney already is president.

Co-president maybe. Rove is having a hard time relinguishing the crown.

Yup. Call her on it.

Really? Maybe during the primaries he can explain his marriage to his cousin. I'm sure the "moral values" crowd can look past it since he's Republican.

Married to his cousin? He already has something in common with most red staters.

I seem to recall him saying he would not run, but then I saw this,

and now I'm hoping he will run 😀

He has already said that he's going back to Halliburton. My guess is to reap the rewards of his neocon efforts. :disgust:

heh. that's probably not going to happen.

I could see him running for senate or governor, but there are way too many skeletons in his closet for a national election and his 9/11 glow has faded.

Cheney's hung like a horse, he'll get the women's vote right off the bat. That's 50% of the country.

I don't think the Republicans have EVER managed to take even half of the female vote. I could be wrong on this, but the last election certainly continued that trend.

See, this is what I wonder about a lot of the popular Republicans. Bush was a pretty safe candidate, he had some stuff, but nothing anyone could sink their teeth into. But a lot of those guys would just be killed in a presidential election.

Reagan did. The gender gap sprang up with Ronald Reagan's candidacy in 1980. Men voted 8 percentage points more Republican than women did. Nevertheless, both men and women voted for Reagan over Carter--men by a 19-point margin, women by just 2 points. The same thing happened in 1984. Men voted for Reagan over Walter F. Mondale by a whopping 25 points. Women favored Reagan by 12 points.

And Bush I got a 50/50 vote.

Hmm, didn't know that, interesting.

Unfortunately the Dems never live up to their promises.

If they did, Hollywood would have moved shop to Paris by now. Oh wait the stars would have. Forgot that the French would hate to have all of the Jewish studio execs move there...

But like I said, few Dems can be held to their word. And they wonder why their party is falling to pieces.

What a great comment by that reporter. Who is this Helen Thomas?

a white house "reporter". She's a hack who lobbed softballs all through the 90's and now is some kind of crusader to the left with her loaded questions, i.e, like the one posed to Ari :

"Does the President think that the Palestinians have a right to resist 35 years of brutal military occupation and suppression?"

She's a beligerent old bag who has long outlived her usefulness.
