Just as the title states. I have been trying to look up information about this and there are so many conflicting Forums post that I have offically gotten very confused. Not thats its hard to do for me lol. So I am wondering straight up what can you do and what you shouldnt do.
I know you cant
1. Deframent the ssd
2. Dont allow a program to constently Write and rewrite on the drive. Reading from it is perfectly fine though.
I know you can
1. Run an antivirus program (I have had conflicting reports on this one many say you cant but others say you can. I dont have my antivirus software installed on my OS drive/SSD drive. Its on a 3rd hardisk in my pc)
2. Run Trim every day. (intel actually states its recommended to run every day)
So sorry to be a pain but what else can I do and not do, and what I have written so far is that correct or am I mistaken somewhere.
Thanks again for your help.
I also have the newest firmware installed on the Intel ssd x-25m 2nd gen (silver) and the Intel toolbox installed.
