What are the better ADSL modems?

The single ISP in this country has provided me with an internal Efficient Networks 3020. One of the engineers told me that the protocol they use is CIP/1483. I would like to buy a better modem from the States. Can anyone suggest some of the better modems they know of that would use the above protocol?

I went to the Cayman site and their 3220 is $400. That's a lot for a modem, imo. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Nat

Most modems are REALLY expensive, I got mine throught my ISP because for $100 I could get a spead stream modem, a nic, and 5 filters. I got mine through pacbell, which is under sbc.
