im going to head down there monday to pick up some headphones, i have a flexable budget of $50. I do have some requirements, i need them to be closed headphones that go completly over my ear and do not touch my ear. (the kind that cover the ear completly and touch only the head. i need good isolation from the outside world. i also need maximum sound quality.

link to circuit city's headphones.

thanks

why do u limit yourself to CC? u can save more money, and have a much better selection if u look at online retailers.

i've got one of those panasonics. bought them 5 years ago and they still working fine. i was looking at the zalman 5.1 headphones for $50, but i don't think CC sells them.

Best headphones made and ever made IMO for the price are the KOSS UR20 and I think they sound great too. Lifetime Warranty Also! So cheap I dont even bother with the warranty if something is wrong like my cat chewing the wire apart, lol. I always have about 3 pairs handy. I love them. Other than that best headphones IMO are the SONY's full ear coverage models. However the Sony headphones are pricey with crap warranty. When the muffs wear down they will charage you 2/3 the cost of a new pair for replacement muffs. So, I boycott Sony headphones since they are rip off scumbags.

$9.99 over budget :frown: and read that they have the comfort of a circumaural (your preference), although it's a supraaural HP unless you have really small ears.

I have the 212pros and really like them. I'm into heavy bass for gaming and movies and these rock! Here is a good review of them that I agree with completely linkage I picked them up from Amazon for $40 shipped last year and I feel I couldn't have gotten better cans for my taste in that price range.

whatever it is called when they do not touch my ears but the sides of my head and block out all noise from the outside, i guess that is closed. I need it to be confortable tho, i wear glasses and i dont need my ear pressing against the side of my head (with my glasses resting between ear and head) and making it hurt.

The best headphones hands down are the Bose ones from their website. I'm lucky my Aunt bought some and doesn't use them hardly ever, as they cost $299.00. They ARE worth it... simply amazing.

Sennheiser. Try some open air senns and you will have nothing else. There is a reason most DJ's and recording studios use open air sennheiser headphones, their untouchable comfort, fidelity and response.
