What are the average ages of our troops...? (Marines, Army...?)


Also wonder the same of the Iraqis-Republican Guard...? (including the fedayeen wacko`s)...?

My guess is too f*cking young. Probably around 20-25?

I dunno. There are some young soldiers in Iraq, but I saw plenty of reservists being deployed. The average age may be higher than we suspect.

I did a Google search. The average age of the National Guard in 1991 was 32.6. Haven't found info on current average age yet.

The average age on a Navy aircraft carrier is about 20. There is normally about 5000 people on board.

I can almost bet that there are a few that are only 16 and lied to get in. And I know of at least 1 that is 50 and in the special forces.

that would be very hard to do in this day i would think considering the goverment would most likely run a background check on people they are trusting to fight for them

I don't believe that, not today at least. 50 years ago it was different. Not only was it easier to lie about such things, but there were better reasons to want to get into the military early. Today with so many pampered kids, and those that aren't finding identity and acceptance in gangs and groups, i can't really see this happening.
