Wow! Would you ask the 84-year-old for advice with personal issues, or call him/her up to hang out? :Q

She is a brilliant, retired academic. We share some basic theoretical perspectives and I just like hanging out with her, so we meet for coffee or do other things. She is way sharper than most 30 year olds and a wonderful role model!

There are one or two people I hang out with every once in a while, but I really don't have any close friends and I never have had any.

I'm 34. My friends for the purposes of this thread are people that I have invited to my house sometime within the last year. They are 16, 22, then 28-36. The sixteen year old is a remarkably mature young man who only annoys me a little and not all the time. The 22 year old is married to one of my "normal" aged friends... and may only be 21 I can't remember for sure.

I'll be 23 in a couple months. The youngest friend I have has been 21 for a while now. Oldest, I have two that are 27.
