What are the 5 must have titles for GameCube?

I am picking up a GameCube for myself for Xmas and I wan to know what 5 games I should not go without. It's mostly going to be played by myself, and my 11 year old cousin who lives with me. Multiplayer so that we can both have fun would be great. Thanks for the help

(Just my choices, I know a lot of people will have problems with my recommendation of SMB 1 & 2 but that is a sweet party game)

I've had Metroid Prime for about 8 months now... but haven't played more than 30 minutes :-x
I was a big fan of Skies of Arcadia: Legends, but you gotta love RPGs to like it.
The three I've listed should be on anyone's list. The consensus is that Prime should be up there, too... but I can't back that up yet

I just bought myself a Gamecube on Monday and I picked up NHL Hitz 2002 used for $10... I also got the special Zelda disc (Ocarina, etc) and EA's NHL 2003, and I haven't stopped playing Hitz since I got it. Played each of the other games exactly once so far. I'd go with Hitz 2003 or Hitz Pro or whatever the newest one(s) are, but obviously I'm a hockey fan so that's just me.

There are a lot of great games to own, Mario Sunshine and Metroid Prime are fantastic games, it's just that I've played them once and they've sat on the shelf for the rest of the time. Games that you'll enjoy over and over:

Super Monkey Ball 2
Sega Soccer Slam
Super Smash Brothers Melee
NHL Hitz Pro (or 2002, 2003.. I have them all)
Mario Kart

Mario Party 4 sucked, I hated it. Worst one of them all, I'm looking forward to Mario Party 5 though
