What are table mounted jig saws called these days?

What are the non-hand held, table mounted jig saws called now? When I search for jig saws all I get are hand held saws. Traditional jig saws had a flat table with a vertical narrow reciprocating blade in the center. I'm trying to find one and not having much luck except for industrial saws which while nice are also a bit pricey. Anyone know if the tool gods decided to call old style jig saws something different?

No, but similar. A band saw uses a band blade. A jig saw uses a reciprocating blade.

Yep, scroll saw.

Bandsaw has a large round blade that spins. Scroll saw has a small blade that goes up and down. i.e. like a jigsaw with a table.

Funny thing....literally 2 days ago I was looking for the same thing and was getting frustrated because I couldn't find a table top jigsaw. Apparently they are called scroll saws...thanks!

definitely...more versatile/mobile. can get in those weird angles like under the arm pit and around the groin a lot better...
