Inspired by this thread.

While I was in Japan, I had red bean from Hagan Daz (sp?). It is strange, and "muddy" like bean, but creamy.

JP Licks in Boston, MA comes out with interesting flavors like: Turkey and a few others wierd ones. I have never tried them though. Japanese Mochi comes in Red Bean, Green Tea, and Mango AFAIK.
The Restaurant "Ginza" has Ginger Ice cream. I didnt like it, although i dont like ginger either...

Cayennne pepper enhances chocolate, so that's really not that strange. I actually put cayenne in my homemade hot chocolate, and its great. (Thanks for the recipe, Food Network ;))

I stay away from strange ice cream flavors.

In Spain they have "Pitufo" flavored ice cream. That's "Smurf" in English. Yes it's blue, and yes it is vegetarian. :Q Tastes like some kind of berry.

As for the red bean ice cream, it's not weird at all. Actually pretty tasty (I'm asian though)
