What are some things you splurge on that others may gawk at?

I'm sure a lot of the AT members were hard core graphics card, processor junkies but aside from that, what else did you splurge on that make others say "WTF?!"

I am a surf fishing maniac, always have been since I was 7 years old. I love the high end reels, and rods and splurge on them quite a bit.

Anyone else?

I don't have the money to splurge on anything. Splurging for me is buying good beer or going to McDonalds.

Bicycles. I own six bicycles, and all except one would cause your average Joe to think I'm crazy at the prices.

Water cooling. Next to 0 benefit over air cooling these days and I spent $110 each on full cover water blocks for my two 3870's. $70 pump, $60 radiator, $15 of tubing, $70 CPU water block. But it's PRETTY!

I'm actually very well known for being extremely frugal, with the exception of spending on my computer, so it would be that.

Not joking: Toilet paper. I have the finest toilet paper money can buy, and I'm actually infamous amongst my friends for that fact.

Usually food. I really enjoy cooking, but most of the time I either don't feel like it or don't have the ingredients, so I like to eat out.

Transformers toys. Collecting old G1 toys I always wanted but my parents never bought, all the characters from the 2007 movie, and collecting the Masterpiece line as well. Spent maybe $2000+ on them since the movie came out and renewed my enthusiasm for my old toy collection.

What is the finest toilet paper money can buy? I'm getting tired of the cheap stuff at work.

Eh... spending money on toilet paper seems like a good investment to me.

Nothing atm. I don't feel like buying anything. I spent a few Gs on a stereo system a few years back. Just basic 2 speakers, source, pre-amp, power amp, headphone amp, and a pair of headphones, open and closed. I don't feel like posting the pics right now.

My espresso machine and grinder.
Oh and I'm guilty of owning a Surefire flashlight that cost about $100, but being in earthquake country justifies it somehow...
And some may argue that HK makes overpriced guns, but I beg to differ.

My car, and/or future car(s). I will probably have a relatively small house, but a sweet car :)

But normally I'm the "save, save, save, buy something really nice" type. I'm a firm believer in buying a quality product over knockoffs. The real trick is to make sure the product is actually better and worth the money, not just perceived to be better.

My jeep. I have a 1971 CJ5 that soaks up money like you wouldn't believe. I'm currently in the middle of a complete engine rebuild.
