electronics in the market side is cheap...but its mostly stolen or knock offs like samsing or panosonik or soni

Lots and lots of food. :)

They have a lot of night markets where you can do a lot of the shopping that includes bargaining.

When i went to Taiwan i was able to eat everything without getting sick except some seafood soup at a neighborhood place.

Most electronics will be the same price or more expensive. The rest will break in days. If you're looking for a cell phone, though, you'll definitely find newer, fancier ones, and a huge selection rather than the sad trickle of models we get here.

When I go to Asia, I stock up on clothing because that's really cheap, though the quality isn't great sometimes. There are certain markets where everything is really cheap, and you can find things you might find in a supermarket, like stationary, household items. You've gotta know where to look, though. In some high end shopping areas, the prices will be even higher than in North America because they cater to tourists who don't know better, and relatively wealthy people.

Some electronics and cameras are actually cheaper in Japan. I saved $500 buying my Nikon D200 there. It really depends on the make and model though.
