What are some things that could've been accomplished by now by all WoW players

I think we would've reached a Type I civilization by now if all the mindpower that went to WoW was diverted towards a more useful pursuit.

If everyone spent all their time working instead of doing something recreational, the world would be a mind numbed wasteland.

They could spend all their time farming virtual currency to trade to other virtual players for real life currency, goods, and services...

Oh wait.... that would be a faux pas, wouldnt it.

the time I spend playing WoW is time I'd have spent elsewhere doing something equally unproductive (watching tv, exercising, etc)... it's not like I'm flipping a coin between raiding tonight vs sitting down and figuring out how to achieve world peace and it's a mistake to assume that when one is playing WoW, that's all they're doing.

Oh, Wowtards. The price of weed would probably go down because more of them would have time to dedicate to growing. I'd see kids working as fast food cooks again and not 30 year old mexicans. Oh, and I'd probably be losing money on the online currency stock market.

Oh neat I can post again.

Think of everything you could have done if you didn't post.

I don't spend too much time posting.

While that may be technically true, I would bet you spend at least 64% of your time deciding on topics to post and how to seem intelligent while doing so. Do you have a spreadsheet with all of your topics, past, present and future? JW

WoW is something I do with my free time. If there was no wow I'd be playing some other game, watching a movie, or something else.
There are of course people who are so addicted to the game that they do throw their lives away, but most normal people just play it in their free time.

Denial isn't just a river in Egypt.

You can ask that same question about almost any hobby/recreational past time.

WoW is more than that.

nah, other games have been as huge a waste of time as well as having sucked players into full day marathons and stuff like wow has.

im of the thought that if people werent "wasting" their time on wow, they would find something else to "waste" their time on. people that are going overboard and letting wow rule all their time would do the same for anything else as well.

and yes i play, just not as much as other people.
