I have a KS282 and am looking for quiet 80mm case fans. I found this... the Quiet Sunon 80mm. Anyone have any experience with this? Any links you all could drop? Thanks!
Sorry Dan but 34 dBA is not quiet. My suggestion would be for either Panaflo L1A'a at 24 CFM and 21 dBA (if you are willing to buy 10 or more of them you can buy them for $3.00 a piece here, unfortunately they are phone order only). Or I would suggest the Adda at 26.2 CFM and 22.5 dBA which you can get here. I am using both right now (4 80mm L1A's cooling my case, and a 60mm Adda on my Alpha PAL6035) and both work well. Personally I would go with the Adda simply because they are capable of RPM monitoring and Panaflo's are not.
ericd: You're right, the Addas are roughly 25% quieter than the Dynaeons. And, if noise factor is the sole criteria for choosing a fan than the Adda's (or the Panflo's) make sense.
I assume that another criteria for a fan is how much air it "moves." An Adda moves about a third less air than a Dynaeon: 26.2CFM v. 41CFM. Guess that's the trade-off.
