I do not want to communicate with such rude people like you. Man, why are you so angry? Angry birds is an old game for me, because I played it many times and back to it again and again. Ok, if you do not like I call it an old game, sorry for my incorrectness. But I cannot understand why you are so irritated. I am a usual person, not so competent in all such questions like you.

I'm rude when I complimented your English ability and said that they don't pay you enough for your abilities?

Fine. Go back to circle-jerking with your other marketing accounts.

Anyway, despite my compliment, your English isn't all THAT great: You still think I'm annoyed about you calling a modern game "old." That's not it. I'm upset that you are being paid to infiltrate our forum for a spam marketer. Got it? We see through your scam.

Keep going back to NES classics (on real NES).

Super Mario Bros. 3
Super Mario Bros.
Ninja Gaiden
Punch Out!!
Batman (Sunsoft)

What about the jap version of Mario 2? I'd rather play that than the original Mario. Of course America's SMB 2 wasn't really bad, I had fun with it back in the day.

You would like the Turbo Grafix 16 version of Ninja Gaiden. They added parallax scrolling and much improved visuals.
Ninja Gaiden 2 was my favorite of the series. The snes version (remake) added some parallax too but didn't care for the amped up soundtrack.

Not sure how I missed this post...

I always felt like I cheated by playing through the Japanese SMB2 on the American "Lost Levels" release in Super Mario All Stars...because it has a save feature. I later realized the Japanese release was on the Famicom Disk System, so maybe that one had a save feature too...? Played through the SMAS version without using warp zones, so I got to play through World 9. Very difficult game!

I remember emulating the TG16 version of Ninja Gaiden and being repulsed by the jerkiness of the parallax scrolling. It only scrolled in tiles columns, instead of pixel columns. I recall the music being inferior too, but I might have to try it again. I just really love the music on the NES version. The SNES version's music in Ninja Gaiden Trilogy was just horrible...which is a shame.

Played Freelancer again recently to get the space sim feel because of all the hype on Star Citizen. Still rocks, and there are some active servers out there.

I also see a lot of people playing Thread Necro, although I'm not so sure about that one.

I beat it once back in the day and tried to play a few times since, but I just don't get it's popularity, good for it's time is how I feel about it but to some nothing will ever compare which to me is very odd.

deus ex just had the exact right mix between FPS and RPG. plus a yet to be paralleled "choose your own path" kind of gameplay, with multiple ways to do everything.

add in amazing music, memorable characters, and occasionally hilarious voice acting

and you get my favorite game of all time

I've got to figure out how to get DosBox to run on resolutions larger than VGA. I got Transport Tycoon running (thanks to someone on AT) in DosBox in Linux Mint. But looking at a 640x480 window on a 1920x1200 monitor brings back the sad.

I'm playing Command & Conquer 2 right now. It's not much fun, but I needed a new (for me) game, and I had never finished this one. Way back in the day, I loved C&C1, but now these old games are glacially paced compared to modern RTS games.

Tiberium Sun?

I just finished Tiberium Sun, and I'm working through the expansion pack. Firestorm, I think?

I started playing C&C2 right after playing C&C3 for several months... C&C3 is *very* fast paced, and in comparison C&C2 is like watching paint dry. Some of the missions in C&C2 have taken me hours to complete...

No problem. Honestly I had for years thought of how good that game might be and when I finally got it a year ago or so I was not that entertained by the game. Same with all the later C&C and Red Alert games. Red Alert 2 and C&C 3 were sometimes fun to play but in the later game possibly more because of the sandbox campaign. C&C Generals was also cheap fun but like the other 2 games not that amazing. The only 2 games that are still holy classics are Red Alert and Tiberian Dawn.

Looked through this thread specifically for this game. Hard to find something with the quality of writing, length, and gameplay that Baldur's Gate had. The first Dragon Age is still decent. Are there any other similar games coming out soon like BG?

I heard they were remaking BG2 in HD or something like that. Would be awesome if true.

I realize these are old posts, but I thought I would still mention that there is an "Enhanced Edition" now. Can even get it on Steam...for those who somehow don't know.

Some games are classic and I feel like they can never be replaced... like Sim city 2000 through Sim city 4.

I really loved Front mission on original playstation. Thats probably a rare one these days. I really enjoyed pokemon stadium. No idea why.

I really enjoyed COD MW2. By far the best. I'm sure MW1 is good too. I really enjoyed Nazi zombies on COD WaW. Sadly those games will be drowned out by all the sequels fracturing the community apart.

I really enjoyed the armored core series when it was PS exclusive. All the elder scrolls games are replayable. Hmm

Beating Zelda Ocarina of time legit (no guides or anything) should be resume worthy :awe:
