Since one might consider that your job, (depending on what you do), do you want to elaborate on what your work environment *should* be?

No pressure from the boss. Either an easy-going boss, or one that is gone most of the time. If I got some guy breathing down my neck 24/7 I can't work.

compatibility w/ co-workers and a positive and motivating ownership/Management.

In my case I am a Manager and we work alone so it rocks.
My other Manager is the bomb though and we work like a tag team! :)

My desk... if they move my desk one more time, then, then I'm, I'm quitting, I'm going to quit. And, and I told Don too, because they've moved my desk four times already this year, and I used to be over by the window, and I could see the squirrels, and they were married, but then, they switched from the Swingline to the Boston stapler, but I kept my Swingline stapler because it didn't bind up as much, and I kept the staples for the Swingline stapler and it's not okay because if they take my stapler then I'll set the building on fire...

Respect for others. Sometimes working with others is a trial, but if everyone realizes that they are there for a purpose, and at least make an attempt to be civil under what are sometimes difficult circumstances it makes the day much easier.

A boss who buys me stuff I need when I ask for it (like software and dual monitors).
A boss who lets me take off pretty much any time I ask.
Being trusted to work on something like Iknow what I'm doing without being monitored constantly.
Lack of annoying internet restrictions.
Flexible hours.

Yeah, these are all qualities of the job I work at. I mostly like my job :)

not doing stuff that isn't in my job description. if they want me to start doing XYZ, then give me a promotion to Senior XYZ'er and i'll put 80 hours a week into being the #1 XYZ'er in the world.

but if they just want me to start doing something along with everything else, don't expect me to place anymore importance on that task than the other fourteen priority 1 tasks i am already doing
