What are some MUST HAVE playstation 2 games??

atv offroad fury 1&2, those games are great - even if you are not into 4wheelers. Gran Turismo rocks as well - best driving game period.
 
Just got a ps2 myself and picked up a few games for cheap (TONS of ps2 games for 20 bucks or less these days..)

If you like 3d fighters then you can't go wrong with Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution and Soul Calibur 2. Both are fantastic, though VF4 takes a long time to master.

I also like Castlevania: Lament of Innocense, which is nice so far. The Silent Hill games are an acquired taste but I love the atmosphere. Fatal Frame 1 and 2 are also nice for some horror gameplay.

 
If you like your mecha games, Armored Core 3 and the expansion is very lovely too.

If you're into RPGs, PS2 has lotsa goodies, but you have to look for them.
 
All depends on what you're into...

Hot Shots Golf Fore is pretty much fun stuff (Or you could spend half the price and get Hot Shots 3 which is a greatest hit)
RPG's FFX and FFX-2 if you're into that sort of stuff...
Amplitude's a good game to play alone or with friends. 2 player with that game is definitely fun 😀

Um....can't think of anything else since I mostly play my xbox stuff 😉

how is "winning eleven 7/8" compared to fifa 2004? I've played most of the GTA stuff on pc and xbox. i heard hot shots golf fore was pretty good so i'll get that for sure. I like racing and fighters so Grand Tursimo and VF, SC2 will be on my list. Thanks a lot guys!
 
The best part of owning a ps2 is you can play ps1 games. Grab yourself final fantasy 7 and the other classics.

Heck yah!! Great game.

Although the regular PS2 controller kind of sucks for it. Maybe my hands are a bit too big.

I have a set of Logitech cordless controllers that fit the bill (and my hands). Of course, they start sucking when someone gets on a 2.4 ghz phone. 🙁
 
ESPN NFL 2K5.... smokes madden, and its 20 bucks brand new.
Dynasty Warriors 4 was the bomb.

Not a lot of ppl are hardcore baseball or hockey gamers nowadays, but there are some good ones out there if you like that stuff. Every year I get addicted to the new NHL game until the new one comes out.
