Might as well drink a coke and take a vitamin C pill.

The variety of sugars in oranges is different from that of Coke, not to mention the fact that the acid in oranges helps in keeping your blood sugar stable. There are also a plethora of other nutrients in oranges than Vitamin C, and a Vitamin C pill is not the same thing as naturally occuring Vitamin C. Still, you shouldn't be drinking more than a glass or two a day, just saying orange juice is nowhere near as unhealthy as soda.

OK then take a multi although the other nutrients found in OJ aren't likely to be missing in a regular diet. It is definately not something I would include in a weight loss plan. Even two glasses a day........
OJ
Coke...

Yeah, for weight loss you're right, two glasses a day adds up along with everything else one eats. I just wanted to draw a distinction between orange juice and soda.
Compared to 100 years ago, the water may not be likely to kill you any more, but that doesn't mean that it tastes particularly good compared to what other liquids are available now. A lot of people don't have access to good water, with their sources being poor quality tap water high in chlorine and minerals, and overpriced bottled water which still doesn't taste all that good.Originally posted by: Riverhound777
Its pretty sad that so few people drink water. Why is it something that people have to "get used to" drinking? I drink water pretty much all day and have never had a hard time doing so. I drink soda every once in a while and beer on the weekends, but water is free, good tasting, and good for me. What's not to like? Imaging 100 years ago when you were lucky to have clean water, people are so spoiled now that they turn their noses up at water like its out-dated.
