What are some healthy drinks to drink while trying to lose weight?

Obviously soda is out. Is juice ok? I mean how does one just live entirely off water? Doesn't that just seem so bland?

You'll get used to water after a while.. 😉

<-- supposed to drink a gallon a day
It rarely happens, though. 😱

Water. After a while, you get accustomed to only drinking water... and then you start to prefer it.

ZipFizz is good, too. 🙂

Soda hasn't been around since the dawn of time. 😉 You could also get some sort of mix, like Crystal Lite which flavours your water.

Water.

The trick is to make sure you have good water. Good water never ever gets bland.
I've been drinking a gallon+ daily for years and have yet to grow tired of it. So refeshing.

You should look into getting a reverse osmosis purification system.
I'm so spoiled by mine, the only water I'll really drink is RO water, I've had countless times where I've bought bottles of water because I didn't want to drink someone's tap wtaer.

Yup. Pretty much all I drink is water and alcohol, with the occasional soda thrown in every so often.

As others have said, water is odd at first, but you get used to it. If you want, there is always Crystal Lite and similar drink mixes, although some can have certain issues with that (the dyes in it cause my skin to break out 🙁).

Water
unsweetened tea/ artificial sweetener
vodka
Coke Zero or other diet.

I wouldn't suggest juice to lose weight. It is pretty much the equivelent of coke. Just a few more vitamins....

Its pretty sad that so few people drink water. Why is it something that people have to "get used to" drinking? I drink water pretty much all day and have never had a hard time doing so. I drink soda every once in a while and beer on the weekends, but water is free, good tasting, and good for me. What's not to like? Imaging 100 years ago when you were lucky to have clean water, people are so spoiled now that they turn their noses up at water like its out-dated.

So even for breakfast/lunch/dinner all you guys drink is water?

If you drink a gallon a day, chances are you won't be thirsty during meals..

WATER. any soda just sucks. avoid soda like a plague. Just not drinking soda, and keeping the same diet, I was able to shave off almost 10 pounds. That's just the subtraction of soda by itself. Someone told me, don't quote me on this, that carbonated drinks also makes you lazy, and decreases your metabolism. I donno... Maybe it does, since I rarely drink any form of soda these days, i'm almost 10 lbs lighter.

I never knew soda was that destructive to my body.

I drink a protein shake everyday, low on carbs. And have cut down on the carbs in general, it does make a difference. Protein makes you feel full, the effects last longer. Better for you anyway. Works for me.

As for water, yes. The amount you should drink is 8 - 8 oz. glasses of water, everyday.

Stay away from juices. Most aren't even juice and just sugar water anyway. I drink only water and green tea in the morning. You could probably add some sugar free sodas or tea, if you absolutely can't stand water.

Vodka. Lots and lots of vodka.

In all seriousness you should be avoiding simple carbs at all costs, so any sort of ?regular? soda or juice is out. Diet soda and artificially sweetened low (or zero) calorie juice drinks are technically OK, although most trainers and dieticians will tell you to get used to water. Even milk has a surprisingly high sugar content, so depending on how much milk you take in, and how much weight you want to lose, be aware of that and plan your diet accordingly.
