You guys dont know how many times I've had to reload slashdot, cnn, espn, nytimes, sports.yahoo.com, msnbc.com. I practically read everyting on those sites and I stil have lots of free time left (I'm an intern and I do my work here pretty quickly)

so what websites do you guys read? I love slashdot, and i am looking for websits like those..or anything thats smart and intelligent (not economist.com or wsj.com or any pay site)

so tell me guys :)

Thanks!!!

(aim.com is blocked.. so im assuming maxim, stuff are all blocked too)

Try Kuro5hin.

Similar to Slashdot in format, but they post articles about all sorts of different stuff as opposed to just computer and tech-related stuff like Slashdot. The only downside is that they don't seem to be updated very frequently, unlike Slashdot.

gizmodo.com is an interesting site about little gadgets that come out.

Seconded. I love how they label all of the headlines they post. :D

it's not completely worksafe though

The Fark front page is work-safe but they do the courtesy of labeling any stuff like "Boobies" links as "not safe for work".

I stick to here and car sites mainly from work (kingdomofloathing.com is game thats a great time passer).

The more interesting ones are sort of worksafe but occasionally end up with banners or popups that are not.

Well.....that's debatable. Some babe pic site links but nothing really graphic.
