Going to a Thai restaurant for the first time, what kind of food do they have? I know it's hot/spicy which is good, but that's the limit of my knowledge 🙁

Pad Thai is thin rice noodles, in a special sauce, usually served with a meat (i like chicken/shrimp), and crushed peanuts on top.

Lad na is thick noodles, and meat (beef is what ive had) with a brown gravy.

most good thai restaurant will have pineapple fried rice and pad thai (lightly stir fried(?) rice noodles with shrimps and or chicken with fish sauce + other seasongs, usually crashed peanuts on top). Green/red/yellow curry + whatever meat you want. You can't go wrong with these. Damn, I am getting hungry.

pad thai is rice noodles cooked in some sort of sweet (and sour) peanut sauce.. usually it has shrimp (or beef or pork)

try tom yang kung, it is a seafood soup with spicy, sour and sweet taste...
great for curing colds!!

a safe order is their fried rice.. try their crab fried rice.. mmmmm

I ended up with pad thai which had shrimp & chicken, fried rice, and for an appetizer some barbecue chicken. I was kinda surprised when the appetizer turned out to be a whole frickin chicken with some red sauce. It was all pretty good, I have enough left for about 3 more meals.

My all time favorite Thai dish is "Pad Prik Kra Pow". It's chicken in a brown basil sauce with lots of peppers and onions served with white rice.

It can be fairly spicy, but you can always ask them to tone it down.

The one with the thick egg noodles in it... no idea what the name is though. I just look for "egg noodles" on the menu and order that one with duck.
