What are some good shoes to wear everyday?

I need to buy some new shoes, but I don't know what kind are good to wear everyday like to work, classes, etc. I know a lot of people like New Balance but I don't like their styles very much. Give me some suggestions of specific shoes or brands.

DC's are nice. or Elements, you can find those at Pacific Sunwear, they are comfortable and look cool

Jordans (i have some 15-20 pairs).. pretty much what i wear every day (to school and outside).. I also wear diesels (work) vans, and dunks.

I like my Vans. I like one particular style so much I bought twelve pairs in case they're discontinued (Vans turns over their models fairly often). You should try some on and see if you like 'em.

I like New Balance, but you're right, they don't have a lot of styles to choose from.

K-Swiss has a variety of styles and I find them to be a very comfortable shoe, nice fit and light on your feet.

12?? Haha, that's awesome. I've known people that bought a couple or 3 pair, but never 12. I had a pair of Etnies that I wore almost everyday for years until they finally gave in to all of the abuse. They were the best, most durable pair of shoes I've ever owned. I wish had 12 pairs of those.

They were actually discontinued, and it was hard to find them then in the two colors I liked. Hopefully I'm set for life. If I get into my later years and start running low, I plan to take up smoking again to hurry things up a bit. Don't want to be without 'em.

For "dress" type shoes, go with Dr. Scholls (Wal-mart carries them.
They are real leather, have all the support and padding you need, great, long wearing soles, and just a general good shoe.
They come in many styles, I wear them exclusively. Since I found them, I haven't even worn a pair of sneakers.
Oh, yeah, every single pair I have ever bought has felt "broken in" from the first minute I have put them on. Never had an an uncomfortable minute with my Dr. Scholls.

my sketchers are everyday shoes and have lasted me a couple of years. they were also comfortable since day 1.

Vans are the best. I'm a fan of the slipons myself (currently have a blue checkered pair), but I've been known to wear the lace up old school Vans as well.

i finally got a pair of New Balances that fit. They are very comfortable. Nothing like the Skechers I have been buying.

For some reason I can't wear running shoes around normally when I'm not running, otherwise my feet will start to hurt. Lately I've been wearing a pair of Nike Ones (I think thats what they are...) that I got on clearance. They're pretty much walking shoes, but I like them - really comfortable. They're also white and red, which I like.

All depends on what look you are going for. If you are find with athletic shoes, then wear whatever is comfy. For more business casual sort of look I wear some Hush Puppies, and I recently got a pair of Clarks that I love. I highly recommend looking at some Clarks, somewhat reasonably priced and I think they can fit many looks.

Somebody else mentioned Steve Madden, and I do not own a pair but I have heard great things about them from people. However they do seem like that can get a bit on the pricey side for a college budget.
