Just curious what drawing styles you guys think look neat.

I really like the pencil art on the new VW commercials (couldn't find any samples)

I also like the drawings the guy over hear at Mac Hall does.

You?

hmm, i havn't really picked any comic books up in like a few years, but i remember the Spawn comics art was tight

(although i read mostly spiderman....)

can't think of anything else right nnow, sorry

Graf, i've got some friends that paint and are ridiculously talented. i'm trying to get into in myself but i don't think i've got the raw talent necessary.

Current Favorite Artists:

Masamume Shirow - Appleseed, Ghost in the Shell
Pat Lee - Warlands, upcoming: Transformers
Yoshitaka Amano - Final Fantasy
Shinkawa - Metal Gear Solid illustrations (I think that's his last name, forgot his first name)

Well, I like the manga drawing style. An artist whose work I especially admire is Masamune Shirow. His recent works look fantastic (see Ghost in the Shell 2), his use of computer to color his images is great.

I used to love Jim Lee's pencils on X-Men. Too bad he's all about business and not about art anymore.
Frank Miller can't really draw well, but his poses for characters and overall layouts are very impressive.
Alex Ross brings a certain class to comic books with his paintings.

I love car renderings, how they get the metallic looking surface with the markers...
