What are some defunct web sites that you miss?

r33t.org

was the best site on the net (about 1996 or 97 it went tits up, so it's been a while). was just funny as hell. great stories, pics, etc. stile project was modeled after it (sorta) when it first came out. r33t was where all the dark humor on the internet started for me 🙂 links to other great sites like oddtodd and spacemoose were first found there.

daily radar is also missed. pcxl was an excellent mag. one of the best made. then the folks at DR keeled over and we lost em all 🙁 some work at pc gamer now, some work over at the xbox mag. too bad they all got split up.

 
loonygames is a shadow of its former self.

Kind of an intellectual's gaming rag, it really put quality before quanitity and had a lot of major names in the gaming biz write columns for it at one time or another. Yet another victim of the dot-bomb disaster. 🙁

I miss firingsquad.com and sharkyextreme.com, back when they had updated product reviews two or three times a week. The sites are still there, but they are a shadow of their former selves. Oh well, at least Anandtech and Tom's Hardware Guide are still good.
 
Another vote for r33t.org. I've never seen a funnier site. Anyone know what happened or why it shut down?
 
3D Files - my ISP was a mirror, which just kicked major ass 😀
Daily Radar - I hated this site while it was up, but now that I think about it, it was an alright read I guess
