My parents bought it for me for Xmas. I'm waiting in anticipation til the 25th :). What are some cool things to do and how do you do them? I've heard of TV watching, gaming, and stuff like Avantgo; but how do you do them?? Please tell me everything cool about them!

Also, is there some kind of service I can buy where I buy a card and pay monthly to walk around the planet and have wireless internet?

Well, if you bought a PC Card sleeve and a wireless network card, you could buy a Ipaq 3850 with it! :)

Seriously, I'd tell your parents to send it back, and get them to buy you the latest model in January. The 3850 has a better screen, better battery life, and a better scroll button. It only costs $50 more, too.

I appreciate the idea, but my parents would NEVER go for that. I had to pull tooth and nail to get them to spend more that much on a 3765.

Yep, just setup your Windows XP desktop to allow remote connections, the use Termial Services on the iPAQ to log into your computer's ip adress. Then just type in your username and password and you're done ;)

Can somebody tell me what all I would need (both equipment and cost wise) to take an Ipaq, hook it up to a cell phone, use the cell phone to connect to the internet, and then use the connection to hook up to my desktop via terminal services?

Do only certain cell phones work with the Ipaq? Do I have to pay for some sort of wireless internet connection? Is there some expensive adapter that I have to pay for to link the phone to the Ipaq? Can I use infrared communication between the two?

Sorry for all the questions, but I'm wireless internet impaired

<< Terminal services come with 2002? Is 2002 as slow as they say it is? >>

Terminal Sevices comes with PocketPC 2002 and it is fast indeed even with a USB connection. It would be even faster over a wireless LAN. I can lay in bed at night with my USB cable (+ USB cable extension) connected and change songs and stuff in Winamp or print out a paper due for class in the morning from the comfort of my bed :p I basically have full control of my desktop from anywhere in the contry.

If you have an iPAQ 38xx series, all you need is a Bluetooth enable phone. You can have your phone in your pocket, your iPAQ in your hand, and connect to your desktop with Terminal service while connected to the internet via your cell phone.

So cool but one thing I find strange, you are using jimmy landscape right? well when I use it and use higher res and have it in landscape mode the picture look exactly the oposide to yours. so that I can hold the keypad in my left hand and not the right as you can.

A new version maybe.. I have ver 2.0

I use Landscape 2.0. There are arrow buttons on the Landscape selection screen. You can shift the screen either left or right.
