What are some applications that come bundled with adware/spyware?

Software for most p2p networks; Kazaa, iMesh... There's also a cd ripper that comes with it, it gives you the option to not install it during setup, but default is on yes and you get the spyware if you breeze through it - FreeRip, iirc. Also the free divx codec has spyware.

the problem is that I need to identify and research five of the spyware programs that the applications installed.

What to do you think of doing this?

Install Kazaa, then run adaware and spybot to see what was installed. Will they clean it up fine when I'm done?

There's a spyware thread in the software forum. Reading through that should be the first bit of research you do before asking a question. And ask the on-topic questions in the appropriate forum, please.

I've read that thread. Most of it deals with simply deleting spyware, not finding out information about them and how they are bundled.
