What Are Other Cable Services Other Than AT&T DIgtal Cable?

I want to get a basic cable service.

I asked many in my area, but all people know is DirecTV or AT&T Digital Cable which are both in the $30-$40 range. I just want a basic $10 or so cable tv. Anyone know who to call or contact?

Most cable companies own their networks and don't share with others DirecTV is satellite and will be out of your price range. Check with your local cable company and tell them your budget, most offer a small package of about 10 local stations (broadcast stations that you could pickup over the air with an antenna usually) for that price.

Thats pretty cheap now adays.. Doubt if you can find something for that, sorry.
Where I live I can choose between 2 cable companies or 2 dish networks all four about the same price.. So much for competition lowering the prices for consumers.

Have you tried hooking up an antenna? you'll get the same channels.



but around here, Cox has $15 basic service. But it seems odd to pay for just NBC, CBS, FOX, UPN etc... that is of course unless your reception fom an antenna sucks.
