What are low fat cooking oil alternatives?

Instead of using things like corn oil to get a wok going, what else could be used and have the same effect?

Cooking oil is way to high in fat and such and I was hoping for an alternative.

Any ideas?

Olive or pure vegetable oil is good to use...the fats found in it are not the same as in many types of oils....

BUT most of the time, I use a low fat salad dressing, such as Italian! :)

I save my bacon fat for just such an occasion, makes the food taste great !

You only live once, go for it.

Extra Virgin Olive oil or Conla oil.

Or I have seen the Sunflower seed oil in the healthfood section but it burns at a lower heat than the other two so it might not be as good for a wok.

For wokkery I always use sesame seed oil b/c I like its smoky flavor. Dunno how bad it is for you.

For just sauteeing stuff, get one of those pump spray bottles and use extra virgin olive oil. You will use a lot less.
