What are good tips from adjusting from high school to community college?

Suck it up and study more. Get tutoring if you have to. You can still get an A, you just have to get A's on everything.

What the hell, community college is easy. I was taking the UW Calc 1/2 Exams for UW credits when I was in high school and got 3.5/3.6 respectively.
Apparently you just need to study more.

Despite what people want to assume, the work and difficulty really are the same. The thing that makes a lot think they're so easy, and rightfully so, is that CCs focus almost entirely on entry-level courses. There are very few courses that will transfer for upper-level credit.
