$1.29 for Regular at the corner gas station, a Mobil at Woodruff/Alondra here in the L.A. 'burbs. Sometimes it's actually cheaper at the almost-as-nearby Texaco, or Shell. Didn't check this time, though.
Cheapest is $1.46 for regular unleaded here in Central California. Also saw $1.75 in the artsy-fartsy rich-people's vacation town of Cambria today. Serves them right
Under a buck!?!? They still sell gas for under a buck?!? Here regular is AT LOWEST $1.619 (Davis, CA). In my hometown in NorCal rock bottom for regular is $1.81 and hitting 2.03 on a weekend isn't out of the ordinary. Dude!
No, seriously. There are 2 nymbers for Octane, RON and something else. One is higher than the other, don't remember which. might have something to do with it.
I drive about 60K miles a year. I cover a lot of ground from the Oregon Border to Bakersfield, western Nevada to the SF Bay and I live in Sacramento. The gas prices in the SF Bay area are always $.15 to $.25 per gal. more than anywhere in the valley. Go figure the SF Bay area has all the refinery's and you would think it would be backwards with freight to get it to the gas stations. I think they keep it high in the bay area because they can. You know with all of the high wages and such (yeah right). Between my wife and I our income is in the low 6 figure range and we can't afford to live anywhere near my office in Redwood City. I went to Fresno last week and it was $.25 to $.35 cheeper than the bay.
Most people do not stray much from their homes so they don't see the drastic differinces.
