What are decent places for part-time jobs for college students?

Topic. Don't want a job at a fast-food restaurant where I have to constantly be griped at 24/7.

I spent every summer/christmas break in college working through a temp agency.

paid better than retail/fast food and I got to sit in an air conditioned office all day.

find a BINGO parlor around your area and apply to be a runner. I made close to what I make now as a programmer; was crazy money.

for the temp agency thing, how does it work?

Want to know the types of jobs you get, any pay they take away from you, agency policies, and other things.

Look for places to work on your college campus? Such as in the library or just as a paper pusher in some department's office.

this always worked great for me, in the down time you can catch up on homework and study and get paid for it

2 - if you don't look like butt, you could stip

UPS usually hires during seasonal times. Pretty much any retail store would as well i'd assume.

Santa Claus, baby, Santa Claus.

and beware those itchy white beards they give you. they get so itchy after 4 hours - that is the absolute worst part of the job.

fringe benefit - all ages of women sit on your lap because they want to get their picture taken with Santa.

Don't even bother. You'll probably spend the whole holiday season competing with the desperate unemployed masses who are probably more dedicated and experienced than you are at working dead end jobs.

Don't bother looking for a job after you graduate either. They're all taken. If you get an interview, you will be one of hundreds applying & inexperienced to boot. You have a better chance of winning the lottery. Resign yourself to a life of crushing debt and professional frustration. You're just too late. Sorry.
