What are Anglos?

is it a race of people? i am thinking its slang, but i dont know. The term keeps coming up in a book im reading, please explain

and yes i looked it up and couldnt find anything, hence why i think its slang

the correct term is Angle. it only becomes Anglo when combined with Saxon.
