Most car chase scenes bore me to death. 99% of them look, sound, and feel exactly the same. Most of them are set to the same "tension creating" orchestral music. Sometimes they're good, but fight scenes are more reliably engaging for me, even though you could say the same thing about many of them too.

Yeah, car chases pretty much suck. Ronin would have been an hour shorter if you took out all the boring ass car chases. Though, Deathproof would have been ten times better if they cut out everything that wasn't a car chase or Kurt Douglas.

lol. you crazy, foo! 😛

about the same but im leaning slightly towards car chases. im hating fight scenes where the hero is tearing through an entire gang (including the martial arts expert, the 7' behemoth, the acrobatic woman fighter who's also lethal with a knife) and then he finally gets to fight the boss who's dressed in an armani suit and all of a sudden is kung fu master and is the only one who can damage the hero. i guess that's why i appreciate gladiator in that commodus realizes he cannot defeat maximus in a straight-up fight so he punctures his lung beforehand.

Chase scenes, fight scenes, and explosions are all a waste of time.

They are all terribly shot and are just a big yawn. Just tell us who won, who died, or what got blown up already. I usually FF them when I watch on DVD.

Car chases - although I'll pass on the "Herbie goes ...." series. The Italian Job anyone? "You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!"

the opening credits scene with the lambo driving through the alps is my favorite intro to a movie.

Nothing makes a fight scene like a completely superfluous flip.

the car chase scenes in Borne movies fucking rock all hell. The fight scenes are great too.

I like them about the same I guess, but it is harder to pull off a good car chase scene than a good fight scene IMO

If the car chase or fight scene stand out as a care chase or fight scene in the classical sense then it's usually a bad sign for the movie anyway.

Yeah, I was just thinking I like both...but most fight scenes are great with a few being awesome. Whereas most car chases are just meh with only a small handful being awesome. I guess I should have voted fight scenes because there's just way more awesome ones.
