Cost is not a problem, protection is. I have a set of computers that MUST be 100% functional at ALL times because they are ABSOLUTELY critical to my business. There are so many out there, McAfee, Sophos, Avast, Kaspersky, Norton, CA, Panda, Vexira........ I don't know what to use! What is the anti-virus tool out there that will give me the ABSOLUTE BEST protection?

Norton Corporate Edition. Norton 2k4, as you can see from a quick search in the software forum, sucks.

Regular, consumer Norton is crap. It was causing my compy to bluescreen and shut down every 3 hours or so after the latest batch of updates.

I personally use AVG. It's completely free and stays just as up-to-date as any of the others do. And in the rare occurance that you get a virus and AVG can't remove it it'll always tell you what virus it is, so you can go to Symantec's site and download the fix.

I'm a fan of CA, but that's because it's a lifetime subscription. Makes a difference when you are looking at hundreds of PC's.

It was also less...intrusive...than norton.

Norton 03 was good for me...haven't tried 04 so I can't speak for it.

Mcafee 7 sucked. OfficeScan sucked(the corp version of Trend Micro's other virus program), although it was pretty non-intrusive but I didn't like how I had pretty much no control or feedback over it, but then again I think that's just the point with corporate editions lol. My school bought it for everybody heh.

I actually think AVG is one of the better ones I've used...scary
