Alright I'd like to preface, this guy is one of my best friends at college, I'm arguably his best friend.....he's very fake and most people stop liking him after awhile. I lived with him last year, our other housemates hate him now. I still hang out with him.

Him and I have been going for a particular position in our fraternity ever since we got in(same pledge class...yea yea 'its gay frat sh!t', shut up). I think he only ever wanted it to beat me(he is very cocky and thinks he is the best at everything). Anyway, we were both assistants in the spring, which put both of us in prime position to win it in the fall. He's been telling me since May that he won't run because I am. Told me this as recently as Sunday, after interviews for the position were done.

So I find out last night that I won the position. I'm excited, happy, all that, hey I've been tryin for this for over a year now. I find out this morning? Yea....my compeition was him.

Seriously, what an ass. I don't care that he ran against me. I'm competative as all hell...I love that kind of sh!t. Its the fact that he LIED to my face about it for months now. Including after already interviewing for the position. Thing that gets me most is its not like he was running assuming I'd win and never find out he ran....he assumed with all his hear that he would beat me, he told his roommate now "its his position to lose". Its not like I wouldn't find out.

Sorry....just felt the need to rant...I just don't get why one of my best friends, who knows he's been losing friends lately, would blatently lie to me like that.

He's fake meaning he puts on a public persona very different from who he really is, thus when people really get to know him, they don't always like him. He's never been know to be a LIER.

no but seriously, I HATE cocky and fake fuvkfaces. I can not stress this enough. Obviously, I had a bad experience in the past with these type of people so I speak from experience.

Sometimes you just gotta recognize when someone's not worth being trying to be friends with anymore. If they don't change, why do you have to change? Drop him. From what you say he sounds very pathetic.

No ethics, no honor, no true friendship. The fact that he lied to your face and boasted to others behind your back should be a clue that he doesn't consider you (anyone?) a real friend.

Remember this if you're ever tempted to loan him money, co-sign anything, cover for him, etc. since (a) he probably won't do the same for you and (b) will probably never pay you back, leave you hanging on a lease, or get you started on a criminal record when he involves you in something criminally stupid.

i have a few questions:
1) does he wear jeans a lot?
2) does he usually wear a buttoned shirt with the sleeves rolled up?
3) does he wear necklaces or bracelets?
4) does he have his hair gelled up/frosted tips?
