anyone wanna help me determine the movie I saw?

mind you, this is some alien movie of some sort...

in the beginning, there are three astronauts on a space shuttle, and a rover on mars collecting soil samples. back in the ship, the soil samples are sitting in the back of the space shuttle, and out comes a black ooze that makes its way towards the front and attacks the astronauts.
back on earth, the astronauts are tested for any illnesses and are free to go home, and well.. proceed to make the sex with their lovers, and the 2 wives (one astronaut was a female, cannot remember what happened with her) I believe ended up birthing a creature from their stomach.
if I remember right, there was also some girl in a glass cage in a white room?

is this ringing a bell for anyone?

Maybe the first one? I've only seen Alien Resurrection, so I'm only guessing here.

That is nothing like any of the Alien movies I recall.

He's not talking about the Alien series, he's just classifying what kind of movie it is. :p

Well I think we're both wrong, Species II sounds like the better match

Naw. In that movie they got taken over by aliens while they were outside the ship by some beam of light.

Sounds similar tho.

yep, if there was a girl from a previous movie (she was like an experiment in this movie im talking about), then its definitely Species II.

thanks all. but I do want to see it again because I kind of enjoyed the movie. lmao
but I was younger so I was probably immune to bad cinematography, as evidenced by the fact that I thought Mortal Kombat II was a good movie until I saw it again recently and decided that it was a horrible movie, as far as movie-making goes, but was good for the MK universe. :)

however, I thank y'all :)
