What? Age of consent for Canada is 14?

At 12 years old, a girl is just not emotionally equipped, and not even at 16, IMO. No wonder some of these dumbass countrys have so many problems with everything from teen pregnancy to aids. The elected officials are probably the ones who decide that it's ok to pork 10 year olds. Disgusting!
 
I looked that up earlier (I thought Jerboy posted it originally) and the site I checked said 14 as well. Those Canadians are party poodles. 🙂
In California, at my age, that is considered Sex With a Child, and I think is good for about 15-Life, plus gets you registered as a know sex offender.

That's slightly amusing. In Canada, hetero's and lesbians can get it on at 14, but gay men have to wait until they're 18. I wonder if that's because of society's being less repulsed by the idea of lesbians in general (I'm not complaining) or for some other cultural reason.

They have no sense of humor down here about that stuff. Many years ago I had a friend suck on a year stretch at the Ventura County Work Farm for having consenting sex with a 17 year old girl when he was 18. He did 9 Mos of a 12 months sentence with another 2 or 3 years of probation plus got fined a couple of grand for his trouble.

I'm 43, have been married for 24+ years and constantly have these russian women, who are aquainted with me thru business, trying to hook me up with their daughters, who can't be more than 14 or 15. They tell me they want their daughter to have an established and older man for security. The fact I am married does not seem to matter to them. How strange!

They look at it as a boost to their daughter's future prospects. It looks very strange to us. I love Russian women though. If you get one from the old country, they will treat you better than your own mother and never complain.
 
How I believe current Canadian law treats age of consent:

The Criminal Code does not now criminalize consensual sexual activity with or between persons 14 or over, unless it takes place in a relationship of trust or dependency, in which case sexual activity with persons over 14 but under 18 can constitute an offence, notwithstanding their consent. Even consensual activity with those under 14 but over 12 may not be an offence if the accused is under 16 and less than two years older than the complainant. The exception, of course, is anal intercourse, to which unmarried persons under 18 cannot legally consent, although the Ontario Court of Appeal has struck down the relevant section of the Criminal Code

To sum up, in Canada:

A) You may consent at the age of 14 or older unless it is with a person you have a "relationship of trust" or dependency with, in which case they had better wait until you are 18;
B) You may consent at the age of 12 or old if your partner is under the age of 16 and not more than two years older than you are;
C) Anal intercourse is illegal in Canada if you are under the age of 18 and unmarried. Except in my province. Uh...

which also means that Legally, a 14 yo boy can have unlimited sex with multitudes of concensual partners that are 12 year olds but Legally cannot go to a strip club or a peep show untill he's 18yo. You don't want to currupt his morals do you.

Also, the legal age to strip at a club in Canada is 16 as long as you don't drink alcohol or beer at the said joint.
