Maybe if Governor Romney faces Bob Schieffer and speaks while approaching him as if challenging him to issue a fact check Mr. Schieffer will oblige him.

You can clearly see him shifting his position as if to direct his comments more toward the moderator rather than the audience and approaching her while speaking.

That's as close to a non-verbal fact check challenge to a moderator in a town hall setting that you're going to get.

Conservatives live in an altered reality that is sustained by all the things that sustain rational people in touch with reality. They have rationalization where liberals have reason. They have pseudo-science where liberals have science, they have fantasy news where liberals have news programs. This is because an altered reality will not maintain itself for long in the real world and must be constantly and with great effort maintained. Conservative thinking is a self induced psychosis that is the product of fear. At the heart of every conservative is a deviate who feels he is worthless. The denial of this is what makes him or her go to any length to help his team win. It's not about truth of falseness, but becoming aware of the feeling of worthlessness or successfully denying it by pretended superiority.

They deny their shame too so they can't be reached by it. This allows them to act openly like the fools that they are, reveal it to all rational people, and still pretend to themselves that their lies are invisible. They can't imagine anybody could see through their lies since they completely believe them.

The latest intelligence assessment of the attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi indicates there was little if any pre-planning for it and that it was in part an opportunistic response to the protests at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo.

Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans were killed in the attack, which has become a political hot potato in the presidential campaign with questions over when the Obama administration called the attack an act of terrorism.

"Right now, there isn't any intelligence that the attackers pre-planned their assault days or weeks in advance," said a U.S. intelligence official. "The bulk of available information supports the early assessment that the attackers launched their assault opportunistically after they learned about the violence at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo." But the official added that "no one is ruling out that some of the attackers may have aspired to attack the U.S. in Benghazi."

Looks like the video may have been a factor after all... the demonstrations it cause may have emboldened people predisposed to attack the U.S. but not quite ready to do so without an opportunity that fell into their laps

The point is that until the investigation is complete a person looking to make political hay out of it is an asshat.
