So I had this dream this morning where I was invited to go out to dinner with a bunch of family members and even though I didn't have a lot of money and couldn't afford a fancy meal, I went.
Well everyone else bought expensive dinners and numerous drinks, while I bought one of the cheapest meals in the menu and no drinks.
When the check comes, everyone's meals etc. have been added together on one check. I give the person that is going to settle the bill my part of the bill, and leave a 15% tip. When everything is added up they figure I owe $20 for my part of the tip for the whole check. (Three times what I spent for my meal) I refused saying that I paid the 15% on MY meal, but everyone thought I should pay the 15% on the TOTAL bill. As they were all going to.
Then my alarm went off, leaving me with this question. Who was right?
I think common sense would agree that I was right, but does anyone disagree? Has anyone ever been in a situation like this?
