I suggest calling your insurance company. They will get a claim going for you and give you advice to follow. At this point, you do not talk to anyone about the details of the accident but your assigned insurance adjuster or the police.

Or just keep posting.

The adjuster called this morning. I couldnt answer the phone because my mono has made it difficult for me to speak. I tried calling him back but no answer. Should I ask him what to do next?

1.See my prior post regarding your insurance and PIP/med pay coverage and UMI.

2. Your claim will be divided into property damage and personal injury. The pd portion isn't very negotiable. They'll take some NADA value and subtract any prior damage and current conditions (high miles, etc.). You may be able to ask for a few more dollars and if there is enough damge , retain a salvage title.
For the PI portion the other insurance will probably offer you a quick settlement for you injuries. You have 2 years (in OH at least) to file suit so I would recommend going to a doctor and let them make a proper diagnosis. If you have med pay coverage, your insurance will 'front' you the money, an attorney usually can not. At that point, along with any lost wages, and any future expenses, you can kinda get an idea of what should be getting to 'make you whole'. If you feel like you are getting shafted, contact an attorney. Just be aware they'll take 33% of your settlement.

While you are obligated to talk to your insurance, don't discuss the accident with the other party or his insurance/lawyer.

Don't go to an ER. Thanks.

Go to the ER. Even though it isn't an "emergency" per se, the faster you have somebody take a look at you, the better. Either you have something benign that an asprin will cure, or something that isn't readily apparrent (shock will do that to ya for a while...). Besides, from a legal standpoint, the way you react/what you say on scene about your physical condition and the time between said accident and being seen by a physician matters a great deal. I've been on the wrong side of this before. It may not make much common sense (legally), but it is better to be safe than sorry.

So I just came back from the ER. Seems to be just a sprained back. Phew! 100 bucks for a few X-ray pictures...decent? Anyways, I will call the adjuster on Monday so I can get everything out the way. Also, will the DMV be pissed if I dont provide insurance info on the driver(s)? I didnt even ask the guy for it since i thought the CHP would report. I will just the Report. Was I stupid?

Usually you get billed for the ER visit and x-rays/ct scans and get a different bill for the Dr.'s services so $100 is rather low, closer to $1000 is not unusual. Insurance will cover most med expenses. You don't need to report anything to the DMV, the police report should contain all contact and insurance info, both insurance companies will already have pertianent info anyway.

That little tap? Dude... get over it. You aren't going to get any money.

This was my car about a year ago. She hit me going about 30MPH while I was sitting six cars back at a stop light. Because I had stopped far enough from the car in front of me, my car was pushed to the left and it hit the 2nd car in front of me. Good times. Minor shoulder injury from holding onto the steering wheel during the impact. From the looks of it, I'll have issues the rest of my life.

Anyway, go your your doctor, get x-rays/MRI. You might need them later for comparison if nothing else.

It was a little tap, yeah but the guy behind the lady was going probably 50-60MPH...maybe my car was sturdy enough, cuz I sure felt that hit. Sorry about the shoulder, thats what i didnt want for my back.

I thought it was a bit low, RSK. Good thing I have that $1000 coverage. I think Ill start looking for a new old car :(. Also, here in Cali, we have to report it within 10 days. What can happen if I dont? Do they notified somehow?
