I just got the following Email from a old High School buddy of mine from the little podunk town I grew up in.
Howdy,
Just got home an hour ago from my favorite waterin' hole known as Players, in Warrensburg. Ran into a Hollywood celeb on my way to make room for some more beer. I recognized him the moment I saw him, though I don't recall his name. You probably won't either!
Anyone who has seen Full Metal Jacket, a Viet Nam era flick, would well remember the salty drill Sergeant with the big bushy eyebrows who pushed one recruit too far, ending his career as a Marine. This guys also has a series on History Channel (I believe) and is in town to shoot a show on the B-2 at Whiteman. He is an actual retired USMC Drill Sargeant.
Anyway, I am not the type to seek autographs, but I did go meet him and shake his hand. Told him, "I enjoyed his movies and his shows, and hoped he enjoyed his stay here."
