I'm working a full time job and taking almost a full load at university. I'm feeling totally overwhelmed. I've studied for 3 of my 4 classes, but I can't even find time to study for the 4th. I haven't even opened the textbook yet (this class I'm taking by correspondence - so I'm a month behind in it already).

Now to top it off, I started a fight with my GF last night. It was stupid and we argued for 3 hours on the phone. I went to bed, and woke up in the morning feeling really stupid and I know I said things I didn't mean, so I called her and apologized big time.

Now I'm just feeling crappy, for no particular reason. I don't want to be at work right now.
I need a week just to catch up on sleep and catch up on my studying.

cant u reduce the amount u work,

i know u need to work to stay at uni, but if you work too much your uni work suffers then there wasnt really any point in going if u fail. but then if u dont work u wont be able to afford to stay there.....kinda a catch 22

but seriously dude, try negotiate lesser hours. and then dont go out as much save as much money as possible

Being happy is worth so much more than the rest of the other crap. You are going to be in the rat race for the rest of your life. No since in killing yourself already. Take it easy as much as you can. Take less school if you have to have the job. Something. Good luck to ya either way.

The thing is though that the job I'm at is paying me a heck of a lot of money.

I took the full time job as a permanent job for after university, and I'm finishing the last few classed I need to graduate in the evening and by correspondence.

I dont really have a choice. The hours are non-negotiable.

I'm gonna have to stay in 5 nights a week just to keep up and I've never done that. So now when I'm at home, I get sick of studying and slack by using the computer or watching TV.

Well then it really is your own fault for not studying. I've been in the same boat but you just need to remove yourself from any distractions. Tell the SO that you can't talk on the phone for hours and go to the library. Three hours studying in a quiet environment will be better than ten at home in front of the TV, Computer, stereo, etc...

Not going out is even easier - if you want to graduate just don't do it.

Ask for a week off of work. Then sleep and catch up with school. Adding a gfriend to the mix is bad IMO, but if you have to, schedule a day or two in that week exclusively with her, other days catch up with school and sleep.

You had enough time to argue with your g/f for 3 hours and enough time to post on ATOT, but not enough time to study?

What is a heck of alot BTW? And what is your major? Because it may be more worthwhile unless you need to pay for school to ditch the job, even if it is your last year.

Sounds like the guy just wants sympathy and props for taking a big workload.

If that is the case, he needs to get over it because I would say that Dynamites case isn't taht special. A lot of people do this stuff, me included. It isn't that big of a deal. Get over it and work. If you need to catch up with school or sleep look at my above posts. Otherwise stop neffing and study. ;)

Man I am in a grouchy mood today.
