An Israeli soldier could bayonet an infant and you pieces of shit would line up to defend him, so of course everything seems anti-semitic to you.

Question - did the infant have a bomb strapped on him?

I believe JS80 was trying to illustrate the irony in AshPhoniex's condemnation of Israel's creation as a nation.

As for the news story well its only a big deal if someone is in a "IHATEISRAELDAMNGOLDBRIKCINGJEWS!!" rant mode.

To be fair - unless I am mistaken - Israel hasn't pledged to destroy and irradicate any of their neighbors. If you act crazy and threaten everyone people are a bit more scared of you getting nuclear weapons

Oh you are speaking about the "wipe Isreal off the map" statement that never happened...

The full quote translated directly to English:

"The Imam said this regime occupying Jerusalem must vanish from the page of time".

Word by word translation:

Imam (Khomeini) ghoft (said) een (this) rezhim-e (regime) ishghalgar-e (occupying) qods (Jerusalem) bayad (must) az safheh-ye ruzgar (from page of time) mahv shavad (vanish from).

Here is the full transcript of the speech in farsi, archived on Ahmadinejad's web site

So this raises the question.. what exactly did he want "wiped from the map"? The answer is: nothing. That's because the word "map" was never used. The Persian word for map, "nagsheh", is not contained anywhere in his original farsi quote, or, for that matter, anywhere in his entire speech. Nor was the western phrase "wipe out" ever said. Yet we are led to believe that Iran's President threatened to "wipe Israel off the map", despite never having uttered the words "map", "wipe out" or even "Israel".

On the other hand you have all those people in Gaza, they are all terrorists of course, the 2 and 3 year olds there are by far the biggest threats to poor Israel.

Operation Cast Lead, now that was quite the little war yea

It's amazing how you talk about Israel being superior in human rights ! a country that was based on terror, massacres, and stealing people's land that continues to live by those practices.

glad to see some AT'ers are knowledgeable about history.

about Israel's destruction of 400 Palesintinian villages in 1948 (this was long before the Palestinians resorted to suicide bombing) -

ah yes, i think israel is the only country on the planet whose legitimacy is held hostage based on an event that happened 60 years ago.

for starters, violence predates the arab-israeli war, where many arabs of palestine fled in a war they started.

the civil war that predicated the finale war involved arabs massacring jewish civilians (because they were jewish.)

before that, the arabs burned down the homes of jews - such as artuf.

ultimately the british responded to the arab "revolt" with ruthless force, and over 5,000 were killed.

in post-WWII, over 150,000,000 refugees were created. 10,000,000 in india/pakistan, 12,000,000 in the western betrayal, and millions of jews.

however, the only people on the planet who have yet to be resettled are the arabs of palestine. and they are the only refugees on the planet whose decedents are concerned refugees.

and they are the only people who are "refugees" of a country they were never a citizen of.

and lets not forget, 50% of the palestinian refugees are citizens of jordan.

the far-left try to justify this conflict based on an event that happened so long ago, but it simply does not connect.

the palestinians were born in violence, their existence is based solely to fight israel, and their "self-determination" is merely a farce designed by the arabs.

assuming the jews lost the war, "palestine" would have been divied up between syria, jordan, and egypt.

arabs did not enter the war on behalf of the palestinians, they entered the war to destroy israel, and they lost.

the massacres during the war are consistent with the realities of war. it is a tragic part of conflict, but this is by no means unique.

however, the palestinians are the only people whose terrorism is humanized because they were wronged many years ago.

under this logic, the jews should be using their military might to exert revenge on europe for being host to the holocaust.

native americans should be murdering british imports to reclaim their stolen land.

hindus should be nuking pakistan for massacring thousands of hindus.

and israel should be reclaiming the land the arabs seized between 1948-1967. a land 4x the size of israel, assets estimated at 250,000,000 - never to be returned.

and the jews didnt get to camp outside of their original homes, no they moved to israel or the USA with the clothes on their back, and got over it.

in the end the palestinians have only recently justified their war because of the "nakba."

since 1967, they justified their war because israel was a jewish state. it was loaded with jews.

palestinian terrorists who blew up buses with arabs often apologized. hezbollah even apologized for killing israeli arabs.

these people are animals and deserve no sympathy.
